Unfortunately, I am not working on anything GIS or ESRI related right now. I have not tried to port this to the latest ArcGIS API, and I probably won’t, just b/c I am out of GIS right now.

Sorry, I have never tried anything like that, nor have I looked at Away3D or Papervision3D.

Q2. Before you depart (for a season) from the GIS realm, do you know by chance how to create a 3D map (similiar to Google Earth concept) using ArcGIS for Flex API, along with an AS3 3D Engine like Away3D or Papervision3D. Perhaps you can provide a code snippet via Pastebin or blogs/forums for further assistance. I would really appreciate your expertise and support on this, alot.

HMMMm…it’s a decent point. This case was so simple that I got a bit lazy. The 100% right way to do it would be to either raise an event that the view is listening for with the location, or set a property on the view. View logic in a mediator can get ugly in a hurry, so your point is well taken.

If I get the time, I’ll clean this up.

I’ve recently been looking into RobotLegs and bringing it into our heavily customised ArcGIS browser, with one of the main reasons to ease the ability to unit test.

I have just one question with your code. Should the GeolocationWidgetMediator contain the handleGoThere method? As this is view logic shouldn’t it be in the GeolocationWidget? From what I’ve read (I haven’t even tried RL yet, so I may be wrong), I think any logic should not be placed within mediators whenever possible
